  1. Boise State – The Broncos took care of the Troy Trojans week 1 for a very solid victory. Troy was one of the top teams in the Sun Belt last year so for the Broncos they will use this game as momentum. Saturday Night Boise State will head to Washington State to take on the 20th ranked Cougars. Boise State could potentially find themselves ranked with a victory in this game, and we would likely see Washington State fall out of the poll. Basically, what I am saying is this game means a lot for these teams seasons.
  2. Western Kentucky– This team opened up their season against Eastern Kentucky. It was not a pretty game for the Hilltoppers winning 31-17, but a victory is a victory. WKU will be traveling up to Illinois for a showdown with Lovie Smiths Fighting Illini. Illinois may be the worst team in the Big Ten so many are favoring Western Kentucky to win the game.
  3. Western Michigan– WMU is 0-1 on the year, but they almost took out the #4 team in the country, USC. This week Western gets a crack at Michigan State where a victory could mean another great season for the Broncos, and it is entirely possible with the way MSU has struggled lately.
  4. San Diego State– The Aztecs beat UC Davis Week 1. Since then they have been preparing for a matchup with The Arizona State Sun Devils. Win this game and their season will be boosted up.
  5.  Coastal Carolina– The Chanticleers won a hard fought game in Week 1 over Umass 38-28. This Week they look forward to enjoying their BYE.
  6. Idaho– The sneaky talented Vandals took down Sacramento State in the first week of the season. They now turn their attention to UNLV who just fell to an FCS team (Howard) for the first time that was led by Cam Newtons little brother. UNLV will come into Idaho with a chip on their shoulder, so it will be interesting to see if Idaho holds their ground.
  7. Arkansas State– The Red Wolves looked great in a loss to Nebraska. They could not pull of the win in the end, but they put up a great effort. Arkansas States next game vs Miami has been cancelled due to Hurricane Irma.
  8. Central Michigan– CMU fell in my rankings this week due to their struggle Week 1 against Rhode Island of the FCS. They can redeem themselves this week by beating Kansas of the Big 12.
  9. Wyoming– QB Josh Allen was the reason why I had the Cowboys ranked so high last week, but he did not show up against Iowa.  Allen and Wyoming dropped to #9 in the rankings. They likely have an easy win this week vs Gardner Webb, so they will go from there.
  10. Army– Army balled out week 1, but they have a major test with Buffalo coming to town. Buffalo almost ruined PJ Flecks debut in Minnesota, so Buffalo will be a challenge for Army.
