Is Dayton and VCU’s reign over with? This year in the A10 there is no clear favorite, with many teams who have a chance to win it. VCU and Dayton are obviously the most prolific in the conference. Dayton lost their coach, and many top seniors. VCU did not return much either. So next up, Rhode Island went furthest in the NCAA Tournament, and lost to a final four team in Oregon after leading the Ducks the entire game. URI returns senior leaders EC Matthews and Jared Terrell to reload for another run this year. After them, is a team that you may not be hearing much about that could win the A10, and it is St Bonaventure. The Bonnies return the A10 Player of the year Jaylen Adams who averaged 20 points PPG, and his counterpart Matt Mobley who averaged 18 PPG. The Richmond Spiders can also be brought up in A10 conversations as they have 3 very talented underclassman. Khwan Fore returns to be the leader after averaging 11 PPG last year, and also returning is De’Monte Buckingham and Nick Sherod. The sixth team that can contend is likely a stretch to win the title, but St Louis who returned many assets from last year’s team, and added two top 100 recruits could be in the mix. In the bottom of the conference it seems like Duquesne will not get out of the last place hole, but teams like Fordham and even George Mason could have a down year.
