The Arizona Wildcats look to be dominant this year, as they seem to be on their own island in the PAC 12. They return top scorer Allonzo Trier, and senior Parker-Jackson Cartwright to be veteran leaders, but under them, they have potentially the best young talent in the nation. 7 foot DeAndre Ayton is a monster, and he has the monster Shaquille O’Neals son Shariff by his side. Rawle Alkins looks to grow from last year, and Duke transfer Chase Jeter looks for a new start in Arizona. Not to mention they also have 4 top 100 recruits outside of the 3rd ranked Ayton. USC looks to find a way to get to Arizona’s island with the team they returned this year. The Trojans return all 5 of their starters from last year, and they look to go further this year. UCLA is young, but talented returning Aaron Holiday and Thomas Welsh. Zo out Gelo in for the Ball Family. UCLA recruited well including LiAnGELO Ball, and two freshman studs #20 Jaylen Hands and #26 Kris Wilkes, plus two other top 100 recruits. Oregon got way weaker in terms of players returning, but newcomers can carry this team towards the top of the PAC 12 again. Troy Brown Jr is a sleeper as a freshman, and the Ducks acquired the top players from New Mexico and Illinois State off the transfer market, Elijah Brown and MiKyle McIntosh. These 4 teams will make up the top of the conference with Utah, Colorado, and Arizona State floating in the middle. Stanford will also float in the middle, but they have the most upside out of the bunch. Reid Travis is back and better than ever, Plus, he has young talent to work with. The bottom of the PAC 12 will be made up by the usual candidates Oregon State, Washington and Washington State, but joining the bottom may be the surprisingly weak Cal Golden Bears who did not return much, and may be led by Boise State transfer Paris Austin since no one is left to lead.

Mini Preview of The West Coast Conference
Will Gonzaga be dethroned this year by St Marys? This may be the year that St Marys has the best chance to pull it off primarily because of returner Jock Landale. Watch out for that and also watch for BYU to make a run at the NCAA Tournament. Lastly, watch to see if anyone new can take the 4th position away from San Fran this year in the conference.
