I know I have not been on top of things with the MLS, but things are starting to take shape heading into fall and I have started following the league heavier when the World Cup concluded. The MLS All Stars fell to Juventus in penalty kicks after putting up a great fight, but now it is time the players start eying the playoffs!

FC Dallas sits on top the West after going into Kansas City for a dominant win, then humiliating themselves at home with a loss to the worst team in the league (San Jose Earthquakes). In terms of other teams, KC is falling, LA Galaxy is rising, and Seattle Sounders are coming up from the depths.

In the East it is way simpler, the top 4 teams are basically unstoppable right now (ATL, NYCFC, NY, Columbus) and the 5th and 6th playoff spots are wide open. However, look out for defending champs Toronto FC who had rough start to the season since some players were playing in other competitions. Toronto is just six points back from the playoffs and they just got a great result drawing #1 Atlanta 2-2.
