Each Week I will be posting my power rankings for the Power 5 schools and my top 10 New Years Six teams every Tuesday or Wednesday. This will be the starting point for the College Football season until the playoff race heats up and within each power ranking I will highlight a few teams in each conference.

1 Clemson
2 Miami
3 NC State
4 Vtech
5 Duke
6 BC
7 Syracuse
8 Gtech
9 Pitt
10 Virginia
11 Florida State
12 Wake
13 UNC
14 Louisville

Not much change in the conference as we are still looking for the definite #1 contender to challenge Clemson.

Big 12

1 West V
2 Texas
3 Oklahoma
5 Texas Tech
6 Iowa State
7 Oklahoma State
8 Baylor
9 Kansas State
10 Kansas

Boy did we get a shake up in the Big 12 this week that I did not see coming. Texas upset Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry changing the landscape in the conference with beliefs that Texas is back!

Big Ten

1 Ohio State
2 Penn State
3 Michigan
4 Wisconsin
5 Iowa
6 Northwestern
7 Michigan State
8 Maryland
9 Indiana
10 Minnesota
11 Purdue
12 Nebraska
13 Illinois
14 Rutgers

Michigan State stumbles out of the AP Top 25 with yet another loss to an unranked opponent, as Northwestern was able to complete the upset over one Michigan school this season. The team that NW almost upset last week has a huge game, as Michigan hosts Wisconsin in a matchup that will knock the loser out of playoff contention, and College Gameday will be there to cover it!

PAC 12

1 Washington
2 Oregon
3 Colorado
4 Stanford
5 Wash State
6 Utah
9 Arizona
10 Cal
11 Oregon State

Stanford goes from Top 10 in the country to back to back losses as they begin to fall in the PAC 12, and Colorado is still unbeaten this season.

1 Alabama
2 Georgia
3 Florida
5 Auburn
6 Texas A&M
7 Kentucky
8 Miss State
9 South Car
10 Ole Miss
11 Missouri
12 Vandy
13 Tennessee
14 Arkansas

The SEC got a major shake up this week where upsets brought the teams ranked 3-8 in the conference closer together and left them all ranked in the AP Top 25 ready to chase Alabama and Georgia.

New Years Six

3 Utah State
4 App State
5 San Diego State
6 Cincy
7 Fresno State
8 Houston
9 Troy
10 Boise State

UCF enters the Top 10 in the AP Top 25 at #10, and USF is in at #23 followed by Cincy at #25. I actually had Utah State ranked in my Top 25 after blowing out BYU on the road and I also believe that App State and San Diego State are playing a higher level of football than Cincy. Lastly, I want to say that I am very disappointed in Boise State.
